Avoiding duplication and giving farmers the information they need helps to inspire change and for catchment groups to take charge of their own learning and improvement.
Thriving Southland project lead Richard Kyte gave an overview of the organisation that is funded by Ministry of Primary Industries to support catchment groups in Southland.
Kyte's organisation is working with groups connected to Northern Southland and Waiau, Aparima, Lower and mid Oreti and Mid lower Mataura.
People are responding well to the information that has been collated to allow farmers to make decisions relating to their land.
