Formal Meeting costs
Following a review with Directors - members are advised the cost for formal meetings held at the Kelvin Hotel is to increase from 1st April to $25.
The cost structure includes venue hire, audio visual / sound system and car parking
(H & J Smith Building) as well as the light lunch, tea / coffee, cake.

Club Member # 44 Anna Thomas, joined our Club in 2012, has now made her move to Dunedin. Anna has been an active member over the 9 years making an awesome contribution as a member, to membership and as part of the leadership team.
We checked in with Anna for a quick Q & A about the move to Dunedin:
Q1. When do you start your new role in Dunedin?
A1. Mid April
Q2. What do you enjoy the most about Rotary Club of Invercargill?
A2. The friendships that I have developed over the years.
Q3. What are you looking forward to most about the move to Dunedin?
A3. A new challenge - setting up a new life and business
Q4. Will you join a Rotary Club in Dunedin?
A4. Yes, there is a lunchtime one that I will try and see if it feels right,
otherwise I’ll keep trying until I find one that fits
Q5. Will you come back & visit with us?
A5. YES, I will be down for Warren’s 100th birthday party.

Southland Girls High School (SGHS) – Bushy Point Project
SGHS are looking for volunteer support with us as their Rotary partner for their Year 7 and 8 students for the upcoming planting days.
Can you Help ? - Tuesday 13 April - 9:15-11:30 or 12:30 to 2:45.
Bushy Point Restoration Project is an ongoing project to restore a 14-hectare area of pasture grass, located between two remnants of nationally significant native Totara forest in Otatara. SGHS have been involved with this project since 2005 as part of their “Community Breakout” days.

District 9980 Conference:
'The Power of Moments' 2021 District Conference was held in Waimate 19 - 21st March. Ross, Raewyn, Alice & Lisa attended / represented our Club.
The guest speakers Dame Therese Walsh; (Chairman of Air New Zealand), Chief Defence Strategy Management Group Captain Carol Abrahamm; Kirsten Patterson, CEO of Institute of Directors & Stephanie Woollard, founder and CEO of Seven Women all spoke to the 'Power of Moments' in their lives.
Inclusiveness and resilience and 'green' were other key themes and messaging woven through the activities, presentations and conversations.
The Rotary Speech Competition Final was outstanding, with the RYE & RYLA Presentations reiterating the value in the Rotary youth programmes on many levels to the individuals and to Rotary now and in the future.
It was a fun night on Saturday embracing the 'Green' theme
The Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday morning provided an opportunity to remember our members Hamish and Flemming.
The 2022 Conference is in Cromwell - this will be the last Conference for District 9980.
