Welcome to another year of Service above Self!
Welcome 2024! This year will be another great year to demonstrate the Rotary way of Service above Self. We already have quite a few projects on the go and I’d like to share a few updates from the Director's meeting we held yesterday.
Deep Cove
We have a contingent of willing helpers heading to Deep Cove this Friday (19 Jan) for a weekend of painting, cleaning, carpeting, clearing pathways and much more. As many of you will know, we have supported the upkeep of Deep Cove for many years and this year the camp will be re-open again after a period of closure due to a landslide last year.

Lunch in the Park
As per tradition, our first get-together this year will be Lunch in the Park on Tuesday 30 Jan 2024 at Cheeky Llama.
There will be a table booked under Rotary, starting from 12.15pm. Please feel free to bring along partners/families – the more the merrier!
RYLA
We are pleased to be supporting Gemma Ellis on the RYLA programme in Queenstown starting on 28 January this year. Emma is an employee of Southland District Council and has recently completed a Bachelor of Applied Management from SIT. We wish Emma the best of luck at RYLA and look forward to hearing her speak once she returns from Queenstown.
First Formal Lunch Meeting on 13 Feb 2024 – Level 1
Please note that our first formal lunch meeting for the year will be held on Tuesday 13 February 2024, Level 1 Kelvin Hotel. I look forward to seeing you there!
