It’s quite possible that sitting in your office is the next future leader who may benefit from attending RYLA 2024 in Queenstown.

Rotary Club of Invercargill is now taking applications for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, which is an intensive leadership experience where people develop their skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.

Invercargill Insurance Broker Kirstie Wells was nominated by her manager to attend, and she took part in the 2023 RYLA event.

“I would highly recommend RYLA because it was extremely rewarding. In day one, I didn’t know anyone but by day five, I had formed a heap of new connections, and I went away with a lot of knowledge and skills that I didn’t have prior,” Kirstie says.

“It was not only mentally challenging but also physically and it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone.”

Invercargill has a wealth of innovative and inspiring people in many different sectors, who just may need a nudge from a manager, mentor of friend to consider RYLA.

For more information, please contact Rotary Club of Invercargill Executive Member Michael Bloomfield or download the application forms.
