Set to “Unite for Good” in new community partnership

Following on from our Club's donation of $25,000 from the 2024 Book Sale to the Grace Street Project, our Club has been invited to reconnect as a Community Partner in a major fundraiser for Stage II of this transformative initiative.

The Grace Street Project, is an all-weather hub based in the heart of South City to foster connection, learning, and wellbeing. With eight versatile spaces—including a youth tech hub, co-working areas, and educational studios—the project is designed to uplift one of the region’s most vulnerable communities.

The PlaceMakers Southern Scooter Challenge is set to return on 21st March 2026, with a brand-new route from Invercargill to Te Anau. The challenge is not a race, it is an awareness-raising endurance ride that brings together riders, supporters, and community  to raise fund.  The 2026 event recipient is The Grace Street Project.

The invitation to reconnect as a Community Partner for the event has been extended to all Southland Rotary Clubs, as an opportunity  to “unite for good” and collaborate and share the load for the support needed.
