The follow-on project from the Rotary Dream Home, to establish two units for the Breathing Space Southland Trust (BSST) is on the final stages to completion.

Club Member Ross has once again been hands-on with our Club’s contribution commitment to the project.  Following Ross's co-ordination of the deck construction he has now completed the deck steps. 

North Club have been sorting the bark chips for around the units.

Robin Pagan, from North Club is looking to start planting in coming weeks.

Power and water has been connected to the units and planning for the units exterior painting is underway.

The two self-contained units are in Conyers St on a  section with a 10 year "peppercorn" lease.

Breathing Space Southland Trust (BSST), set up in 2013,  assists with short term (maximum 7nights) accommodation via a vetted referral process.  BSST also supports  with connections to wrap-a-round support / programmes for those who meet the referral criteria.  

Each of the 5 Rotary Clubs, lead by their project committee member, has been co-ordinating different aspects of the final stages to completion of the units.
