We have been asked to support LUG South at the Community event.
We have been approached to support LUG South with their upcoming community event. They are asking for support with volunteers on the door to collect the $2 event entry fee.
This is not a fundraiser - simply a service above self / profile opportunity to be seen volunteering and collaborating with another community group / event.
The 2024 Brickshow, open to the public from 9am to 4pm, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October, is the largest display of Lego creations in Southland.
This year’s event features a huge new collaborative display with custom Lego trains travelling through many scenes built by different group members.

The Mitre 10 Mega Play zone will be sure to satisfy creative needs with a huge pile of Lego and Duplo blocks.
LUG South is a registered Charitable trust and a Recognized LEGO® Users Group. LUG South puts on LEGO® display events across the Southern Region to share members love of LEGO® with the public.
We need 2 Rotarians for each hour from 9am to 4pm across both days to collect the $2 fee.
Proceeds go to LUG South charitable trust to cover the event costs, supporting unwell young people through provision of providing Lego to kids in hospital, play boxes of Lego to various community groups working with Rangatahi under supervised care. Other outreach activities into the community include large Lego display panels.
LUG south have loaned us their Lego tables for previous book sale events so this is an prime opportunity to re-pay them for their collaboration with us for our community event.
