It's lovely to see students doing so well.

Southland Girls' High School students Harrri Pickett and Maia Lumsden joined the club for lunch last Tuesday to share their experience of attending the Science Form in Auckland in January.

Before the forum, Maia was planning on a career in science and Harri in biology but the "taster" format of the forum allowed them to explore more career pathways available in many different fields of science.

Both students spoke about the connection and sense of community the forum created as they joined 170 students at the forum.

It was great to have Harri and Maia come and speak, especially as they came after our RYLA attendees had spoken a week earlier.

If you know of a young person in Year 12 with a passion passion for science, mathematics and technology reach out to Club Youth director Kieran Middleton to find out more information on how you could assist them in applying for support to attend the 2024 Science Forum.
