Celebrating not one, but two new members this month.
As a club we warmly welcomed Arsalan Abdollahi and Heather-Lynn Potgieter as members this month.
Arsalan was born and raised in Shiraz-Iran, and moved to Auckland more than a decade ago where he worked in public transport operations and compliance.
In 2018, he returned to the University of Auckland to study law. Upon graduation in late 2022, he moved to Invercargill and will soon start practicing as a lawyer.
Outside of work and study, he has always enjoyed involvement with community projects and voluntary organisations such as New Zealand Red Cross, Citizen Advice Bureau and Rotary International.
"It is a privilege to be admitted as a member of The Rotary Club of Invercargill."
Heather-Lynn immigrated to New Zealand from South Africa in 2019 to the beautiful city of Dunedin.
She was offered a position at Ecolab in 2021 and relocated to Invercargill where she has found the most genuine, innovative and open-hearted people.
In her role as an account manager in Southland she deals with water in all forms.
"I love my job and have thoroughly enjoyed discovering our beautiful Southland and becoming acquainted with all the incredible people that live here. I look forward to being a part of a community that is bold, compassionate, and enjoyable," she says.
